Lucca
is the most wonderful small town; its famous walls
enclose a place that can be wandered or pedalled with
ease yet remains full of secrets. One of Italy's finest
mediaeval treasures, the centre is relatively unspoilt
and is sprinkled with palazzi, towers and almost countless
splendid churches. There is still plenty to do right
here and because Lucca is so compact it's easy to
fit in a leisurely breakfast, museum hopping, antique
hunting, a four course lunch, a little nap, a walk
around the walls, an aperitivo at bar on the
piazza, a concert and then a pizza for dinner.
See Lucca on a bike, rent shops abound, and
see it even faster. Go around on the walls, one of
the most exceptional parks in the world.
If your vacation permits, excursions outside of Lucca

Florence, Sienna, the Cinqueterre, the Garfagnana,
the Versilia coast, Montecatini, Collodi and Lucca’s
